Stowe Vermont is home to the Gold Brooke Bridge. Legend has it that long ago a woman spurned by her lover hung herself from the bridges beams. Ever since people have claimed to see a ghostly woman on the bridge, sometimes she even lunges at their cars as they pass over the bridge. That is why the bridge is now known as Emily's Bridge.
